Air Cool Transformer Rectifier

Transformer rectifiers are the most frequently used power source for impressed current anode systems. The unit consists of a step-down transformer, to reduce alternating current to an acceptable level, and a rectifying element to convert the alternating current (A.C.) to usable direct current (D.C.). Output terminals and a whole host of options and accessories complete the final assembly of the unit. There are almost unlimited combinations of rectifier features and types, depending on the requirements of the project.

SYCHEM Transformer Rectifiers are designed for the cathodic protection of steel structures such as jetties, pipelines tank farms etc. The transformer rectifiers comply with the most stringent industry specifications and perform in demanding environmental conditions.

Our company provides products with distinctive and innovative features that can be modulated to meet each client’s application specifications. In order to do so, we are able to incorporate a wide variety of specialized features into our transformer rectifiers, including local and remote monitoring of output voltage, current, reference electrode potentials, and remote control of output voltage and current.

APPLICATION

Our Oil Cooled Transformer Rectifiers operate in temperatures up to 55°C and at current ratings of up to 600A, and are mostly suitable for heavy duty applications in demanding environmental conditions.

Air Cooled Transformer Rectifier units are used indoors in control environments and are less expensive compared to the oil cooled ones with the same capabilities
