Tertiary wastewater treatment with MBR-UF technology for production of high quality water.
SYCHEM recommends and implements MBR (membrane bio reactor) treatment systems or ultrafiltration membranes as tertiary treatment for upgrade of an existing conventional biological treatment plant. Both techniques produce an effluent where the water quality meets the standards for reuse in urban and suburban activities or for the aquifer enrichment.
Industrial wastewater treatment
SYCHEM provides industrial scale systems for treatment of industrial wastewater with a very high pollutant load (COD ~70,000ppm, TSS ~40.000ppm, TN ~5.000ppm).
For example, the MBR-UF system, installed in a biogas plant on behalf of TECHNICAL BIOENERGY CRETE, for the treatment of the liquid digestate achieves significant removal of organic pollutants, over 95%, producing a high quality water.
Effluent water is within the limits for reuse in activities such as, restricted irrigation, urban and suburban uses. Typical values of such effluent, after the treatment with ultrafiltration are among others TSS<5ppm, TN<40ppm.
